Thanks to technology cities are becoming more efficient and sustainable, providing citizens with greater comfort. Numerous IoT platforms are being developed to deliver services to large cities, facilitating access to data collected by sensors through databases, specialised websites, etc.
I have recently attended the International Conference on Innovations in Information Technology IEEE IIT, which has taken place in Abu Dhabi. Within the framework of the European IoT Digital Innovation Hub, I have had the opportunity to present the work of the BISITE Research Group.
I had the pleasure of participating as a speaker at the Seminar in Valladolid, organized by the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castile and Leon (ICE), within the IOTEC project framework of the Interreg Spain-Portugal Program (POCTEP). At the event, we debated on the IoT and Blockchain as business drivers, exchanging ideas and information on these technologies.
Keynote for ICACCCI and ISTA 2018
It will be a pleasure to be one of the speakers at the 7th International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications and Informatics (ICACCI 2018) and the Fourth International Symposium on Intelligent Systems Technologies and Applications (ISTA ‘ 18), where issues related to informatics and technological advances will be addressed.
Technological development has taken us beyond the simple connection between people and is evolving towards a connection between all kinds of objects. Thanks to sensors and other types of mechanisms, it is possible for objects to interconnect and interact with each other.
Iran is developing large infrastructures and is firmly committed to promoting IoT and Efficient Development Projects
During my trip to Iran, I’ve had the opportunity to meet with the executives of the Mazandaran Corporation. Together we analyzed aspects related to the potential application of the IoT in civil engineering projects, construction and sustainable development.
I’m sure many of you have already heard of the Internet of Things (IoT) but you may not know exactly what it is. The internet of things is a concept which is essentially concerned with connecting all kinds of objects together in order to completely eliminate the need for human intervention. This is only possible thanks to research in various technological branches such as artificial intelligence or sensor-based information systems.
On Friday, June 1st at 5pm, the Chamber of Commerce will hold a day on the Internet of Things (IoT) with the aim of disseminating knowledge of this technology, intended for members of traditional SMEs who wish to incorporate this paradigm into their production processes.
Technology is advancing rapidly, now faster than ever. It may seem to many that
researchers are now trying to implement Artificial Intelligence in almost every kind of
object. This however is not entirely true. Those of us who have been working in the
field of Artificial Intelligence for long, know that since decades it has been a
fundamental element of many systems and that it took different shapes and forms as it envolved.
