The Internet of Things (IoT) is one of the technologies that has had the greatest impact in recent years, it is no longer limited to one or other sectors, we now have it present in many of the objects we use every day, in industrial processes, in companies, in our homes and some healthcare systems around the world are beginning to incorporate it to have greater control and precision of the data.
Disruptive technologies are changing the way we develop our computing systems. The Chandubhai S. Patel Institute of Technology, Charusat University of Science and Technology, invited me to give a keynote talk on how AI, IoT and Edge Computing are being used together to create new computing systems; platforms that offer new functionalities in the field of connected industry, precision agriculture, farming, and smart territories.
I has been a pleasure for me to give a guest lecture under the title “Mobile Sensors & Technologies for Healthcare” in the framework of the congress “mHealth patient-centred technologies: the future is now” organized by the Higher Institute of Engineering of Oporto.
The Connected Industry or Smart Industry is a competitive advantage; the companies that have digitized their processes evidence it with improvements in the production chain and in their invoicing.
