Supercomputing has become a very useful tool for business competitiveness and innovation and Castilla y León is fortunate to have the SCAYLE Supercomputing Center, which offers services to companies in the region.
To inform entrepreneurs about the potential uses of supercomputing, the Junta of Castilla y León, in collaboration with SCAYLE and CEOE CEPYME Empresas de Salamanca, has organized a practical seminar to showcase the benefits of supercomputing to all types of companies. This informative seminar will be held next Monday, 16 October, at the headquarters of CEOE-CEPYME, on Plaza de San Román, 7, starting at 10:30 am. Without a doubt, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn about a tool that is essential for business growth and success.
As head of the AIR Institute and the BISITE Research Group, I will participate in the event, which will also be attended by María Gonzalez Corral, Councilor for Mobility and Digital Transformation; Augusto Cobos Pérez, Director of the Institute for Business Competitiveness; Blanca Ares González, Director General of Universities; Vicente Matellán, Director of the Supercomputing Center of Castilla y León; Alberto Cerrillo, co-founder & CEO of Vexiza; and Jorge Llorente Cachorro, Vice-Councilor for Digital Transformation.
The objective of the seminar is to raise awareness of the role of high-performance computing in the intelligent, sustainable, and cohesive digital transformation of both SMEs and public administration entities, facilitating their access to specialized technical knowledge and the implementation of pilot projects. The seminar is not only aimed at businessmen and entrepreneurs, but also engineers, executives, researchers, and ICT professionals who will be able to gain a deeper insight into the world of supercomputing. AIR Institute works hand in hand with SCAYLE, which is one of its partners for projects on big data processing, as well as with the Junta de Castilla y León, which organizes the conference, and CEO CEPYME Salamanca, with whom we collaborate closely.
