From 4 to 7 September 2023, Salamanca became the epicentre of innovation and entrepreneurship with the celebration of one of the most anticipated events of the year: Startup Olé. In its tenth edition, the event brought together more than 800 startups, investors, entrepreneurs, technology experts and various national and international authorities, consolidating itself as a beacon of inspiration and innovation.

The BISITE Research Group and the AIR Institute attended, as they do every year, to present the projects, activities and training they are developing in the field of technology. Startup Olé is known for its collaborative environment and its ability to bring together a wide range of players from the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Startups, investors, academic institutions and leading corporations gathered in Salamanca to share ideas, establish connections and explore business opportunities. This collaborative environment helped to spark new ideas and strategic alliances.
Technological projects and training
In our space we had the opportunity to present interesting projects, including LIFE Vía de la Plata, which was attended by the Councillor for the Environment and Animal Welfare of the Salamanca Town Council, María José Coca. The technicians responsible for its execution explained the actions being carried out within the LIFE Vía de la Plata project, which will create a large green corridor along the 6.9 km of this cattle route as it passes through Salamanca.

The InTrack project (Intelligent tracking of articulations in recently operated athletes) was also presented. This consists of an electronic device worn on the body (wearable technology) and arises from the need to have a tool that allows to track the evolution of a patient in their knee recovery, being designed mainly for ruptures of the anterior cruciate ligament.

Those attending the fair also got to know the Load Crutches project, a device that allows to measure, control and correct in real time the load exerted by the patient on each crutch during the rehabilitation process of different ailments.

At the event, we were able to present our training offer through the master’s degrees in technology that we teach at the BISITE group, in addition to the e4you course platform, which now offers more than 60 free courses.
The event was certainly a great opportunity to enjoy, learn and establish important alliances to promote our projects, as well as to give visibility to all the activities that we are carrying out.
