I had the opportunity to visit the Dhahran Techno Valley. It is an highly active area, which has surprised me with the great number of technology companies that are established in it and are developing their own products for the energy sector. Dammam is a very vibrant area, and can be reached in 35 minutes by plane from Doha, close to Bahrain (a few minutes by car) and also close to Dubai.

Saudi Arabia really seems to be fueling its economy and is undertaking big research projects.  I was able to visit the Technology Park and meet its Director and the people in charge of promoting entrepreneurship. It is an area with great opportunities and with extraordinary infrastructures that are well worth visiting.

Great projects such as The Line – NEOM are driving the technology industry in that part of the world.
