More than two decades ago, when I was studying computer science at the University of Salamanca, I met Coti. Coti taught me to code and to think about the importance of small details in a successful project; first, he was more than a professor, he was a true master, who was able to get me excited about computer science and eventually supervised my first doctorate. Later, I had the opportunity to be his colleague at the Department of Computer Science and Automation and now I am happy to see him retire surrounded by the affection of all his colleagues and with the satisfaction of having gone above and beyond the call of duty. Coti, thank you for everything you have given us and especially what you have given me; with your help and advice I have been able to develop projects that would have been inconceivable to me years ago.

Now, as you retire, you are an example to all of us and to the new students, and we know that you are going to continue to be at your best, promoting other projects in your universe of programming, physics, mathematics …. and keeping in touch with us!
Let’s keep going!!!
