Juan Manuel Corchado participates in the conference on the opportunities and challenges of AI for companies in the Valencian Community

The Auditorium of the Business Confederation of the Valencian Community (CEV) hosted a few weeks ago the conference “Artificial Intelligence. Opportunities and challenges for companies in the Valencian Region”. Juan Manuel Corchado, President of the AIR Institute and Director of the BISITE Research Group at the University of Salamanca, participated along with other specialists to discuss the latest developments in artificial intelligence.

Corchado presented the paper “General context and global trends in the application of AI in the enterprise”. He also explained the benefits of generative artificial intelligence, which creates, for example, high quality images, speech synthesis and coherent text. In addition, deep energy-based generative models (DEBGM) have been used for anomaly detection, image classification and segmentation, and pattern identification.

Using AI in business

Artificial intelligence is one of the most widely used technologies today, different industries are leveraging the benefits of AI to optimize processes or improve customer service. Many companies use ChatGPT to power their customer service chatbots, providing fast and accurate responses to customer queries. In e-commerce, ChatGPT is used to help customers find products, answer questions about availability, and provide product recommendations.

The education sector also benefits from AI. Online learning platforms use ChatGPT to provide interactive, personalized tutoring in a variety of subjects. The same is true in the healthcare sector, where it is used to answer general health questions, schedule appointments and provide information on medications.

In marketing and advertising, it is used to generate creative content, such as social media posts, advertisements, and blogs. While financial institutions use ChatGPT to answer questions about financial products, provide financial advice and help users navigate their platforms.

In short, AI is here to stay and best of all, to revolutionize many industries.
