Salamanca becomes a hub for Artificial Intelligence in Radiation Oncology

A few days ago, the congress “Artificial Intelligence in Radiation Oncology” took place in Salamanca. I participated in the conference with a presentation on the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

It has been a brilliant idea to promote in Salamanca a congress on Artificial Intelligence in the field of radiation oncology. I was delighted to participate in the event coordinated by Prof. Dr. Luis A. Pérez Romasanta, head of the Radiation Oncology Department of the University Hospital of Salamanca and Professor at the University of Salamanca.

This event brought together an impressive group of professionals from the medical sector, experts in Artificial Intelligence, to review the current state of the art and the potential that Generative AI has today. A promising future, in which there is undoubtedly much room for collaboration and the development of interdisciplinary projects. During my presentation we reviewed models, methods and trends that will drive strategies to improve diagnostics and the development of decision support models.
