Sergio Rejas is a former student of the 2011-2013 master’s degree in e-commerce at the University of Salamanca, which is now called the Master’s Degree in Digital Transformation. A decade ago, however, this degree laid the foundations of knowledge in new technologies enabling Sergio to have one of the most successful digital businesses in Bolivia today.

During a recent visit to our labs, Sergio explained to us that the idea for his venture (Livees.net) came about while he was doing his master’s degree at the BISITE Group. After finishing his internship at Mozilla and his studies, he decided to return to Bolivia and motivated by everything he learned in the master, he decided to create his e-commerce services startup, through which he has introduced new technologies to the Bolivian market, including: Payment gateway (Livees Checkout), Marketplace (Mercado Digital de Bolivia), All-in-one online shop system (Livees commerce Cloud Platform), Livees Educa (specialised courses in e-commerce, web analytics and digital marketing) and consultancy services for the development of customised e-commerce.

To date, more than 670 businesses use its payment gateway technology and other related services, making Livees one of the most important companies in the provision of fintech and ecommerce services in Bolivia. Sergio is also a postgraduate professor at several public and private universities in Bolivia.

This 2023, Sergio Rejas has returned to Spain to open operations in Salamanca and continue his expansion. We are confident that his idea will continue to yield results and wish him great success on the European market.
