Yesterday “Digitalisation as a transformative process“, organised by the INESPO III project, was held at the Hospedería Fonseca of the University of Salamanca, providing a space for debate and the search for opportunities for university-industry cooperation. Throughout the event, the activity developed by the research groups and the work of productive organisations and the administration was highlighted, with the aim of promoting digitalisation as the backbone and the promotion of cross-border impact.

Juan Manuel Corchado, director of the BISITE Research Group, participated in the conference along with other academics and professionals from the technology sector to discuss cybersecurity. During the session, Corchado underscored our contribution in this area, through the development of IT solutions, as well as through our Master and Expert degrees in Internet Security and the C1b3rWall Academy training programme that we organise jointly with the National Police. The attendees also enjoyed interesting presentations and debates related to digital innovation, the Internet of Things or virtual and augmented reality, as well as learning about the different grants available for the digitisation of companies.
INESPO III is a project funded under the Interreg Spain-Portugal programme of the European Union. This conference has been organised by the following partners of the consortium: the general foundations of the universities of Salamanca, León and Valladolid, and the universities of Aveiro, Coimbra, Beira Interior and Pontificia de Salamanca.
