Juan Manuel Corchado Rodríguez, Professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence and Director of the BISITE Research Group at the University of Salamanca, and Rosario García Campelo, Head of the Service of the Hospital Complex of A Coruña, have joined the Board of Trustees of the AstraZeneca Foundation.

The former Vice-Rector for Research and Transfer of the University of Salamanca and Dean of the Faculty of Science, Corchado, says it is an honour to be part of the Board: “Supporting scientific talent and innovation in clinical research is one of the best ways to protect and improve the patients’ health. In this regard, it is an honour for me to be part of this team of people who firmly trust in science.

Juan Manuel Corchado, Director of the BISITE Research Group, President of the AIR Institute and the IoT Digital Innovation Hub who has more than 20 years of experience in scientific research and the development of innovative projects, joins nine other professionals to lead the Board of Trustees of this important institution.
Corchado is involved in the development of exciting national and international technology projects and is also part of DISGIS3, the AIR Institute-led consortium that has been selected to be part of the European Network of Digital Innovation Hubs.
