Logistop and ITENE have organised a conference on “New technologies in mobility and logistics: the path of change in times of digitalisation”. An event in hybrid format that featured leading specialists to promote and raise awareness of innovation in the digitalisation of transport and logistics.
Juan Manuel Corchado, president of the AIR Institute, was invited to participate as a speaker in order to explain the importance of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) for logistics and industry in general.
Corchado participated in the round table moderated by Javier Alcalá, Director of Mobility and Logistics at ITENE, together with other specialists such as Iraide Unanue, head of the Smart Transport & Logistics Platform (Mobility) at Tecnalia; Arjen Heeres, CEO of Decide Soluciones; Antonio Pinel, Business Development Director at Nommon Solutions and Technologies; Roberto Guzmán, CEO of Robotnik Automation, and José Pons, CTO and co-founder of WITRAC.
Logistop’s objective is to define and develop innovation projects among its partners, with the possibility of collaborating with or receiving support from certain organisations external to Logistop. The conference was aimed at logistics operators, last mile, medium and long-distance transport and logistics companies, users, developers and analysts of these new technologies.
It has been an enriching event at which we have analysed and discussed the different paths towards technological innovation in transport targeted at the digitisation of mobility and logistics systems, through Artificial Intelligence, Digital Twins, Big Data, Deep learning, blockchain systems and IoT (Internet of Things).
