C1b3rWall Academy 2021 has been outstandingly successful

The C1b3rWall Academy 2021/22 project organised by the National Police and the BISITE Research Group has been highly successful. We have managed to bring together more than 40 thousand participants who, for the past year, have been actively learning about cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things or Digital Transformation, just to name a few of the topics that have been taught over the last 16 modules.

More than 150 national and international speakers participated in the event, who delivered around 240 presentations on cybersecurity and all the technologies that converge in this field. wDiarium has reported on the impact of this year’s event and has published a special article that can be read here.

The aim of C1b3rWall Academy is to foster training in cybersecurity and provide participants with the tools they need to protect themselves from cybercrimes which have become commonplace. During this year we have learned about scams and their prevention, namely, cryptocurrency scams, online payment scams, phishing, cyber-attacks and security protocols. Most importantly we have learned about raising awareness of cybersecurity in society.

In this regard, the BISITE group we have awarded more than 15 scholarships to continue training professionals as part of the Master’s in Digital Transformation and the Master’s in Cybersecurity of the University of Salamanca which will start next October.

BISITE has collaborated in the development of C1b3rWall Academy 2021, and we will continue to do so in the edition that will start in September, later on we will provide more details about the upcoming event and new perspectives for 2022/23 edition.

All the effort and dedication has been rewarded with the gratitude of the students, an excellent reception at the congress organised by the National Police School in Avila, which was attended by more than 5 thousand people. We have also qualified for the ECOFIN Titanes de las Finanzas 2022 awards in the ‘Products and Services’ category. If you have not yet voted, you can do so here until 12 September, we would be proud to receive this recognition and celebrate it with you.
