Professor from Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar, Aiman Erbad, to join AIR Institute’s advisory board

Aiman Erbad, Professor at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) in Qatar, will join the advisory board of the AIR Institute. Juan Manuel Corchado, president of the foundation, met with the professor and other academics from the University’s Faculty of Science and Engineering during his latest visit to the country.

Aiman Erbad is an associate professor in the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Hamad Bin Khalifa University. Previously, he was an associate professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Director of Research Planning and Development at Qatar University. He is a senior member of the IEEE and the ACM.) His research interests include cloud computing, edge intelligence, IoT and private and secure networks.

His extensive research experience in new technologies will bring great benefits to our team, especially in the area of smart cities, in which this country has made immense progress.

Aiman is also part of the project launched by Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Tasmu Innovation Lab and Qatar Foundation and developed by AIR Institute and Iberdrola to design a plug-and-play device capable of managing the energy consumption of Smart Buildings based on Edge Computing.
