Castilla y León entrepreneurs and SMEs will benefit from the Digital Kit and Centr@tec programs, organized by ICE, Air Institute and the Chamber of Commerce

Yesterday, the seminar on the “Digital Kit Program: An Opportunity for the Digitalization of SMEs and the Self-Employed” took place. The Centr@tec Program has also been presented at the event, thanks to AIR Institute, the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICE) and the Chamber of Commerce of Salamanca.

Juan Manuel Corchado, President of the AIR Institute, presented the conference and explained the benefits that this type of program brings to companies and especially to SMEs. The initiatives are aimed at contributing to the digitization of small businesses and of the self-employed.

The seminar was followed by the participation of José Francisco de Diego from ICE, who spoke about the opportunities for digitalization grants offered by this institution. With programs such as Centr@tec, which promotes training and support actions for business R+D+i, in addition to providing training and advice.

Cristina Timón Gil, representative of the Chamber of Commerce of Salamanca, made the official presentation of the Digital Kit Program, a public initiative of economic aid financed by the Next Generation EU funds. This program of the Government of Spain aims to subsidize the implementation of digital solutions available on the market to achieve a significant advance in the level of digital maturity.

The attendees were able to learn first-hand about the experience of two innovative companies, Miningsense, led by Jesús Montero González, a mining company specialized in providing advice on project evaluation, planning, economic models and strategic decisions.

We also learned about the experience of Europa Metals Iberia, presented by Luis Pérez. A junior mining exploration company developing a research project in the province of León. It has been an enriching day that has allowed us to present the different opportunities for grants, while we learned about the work of the entrepreneurs in our region
