The M3 Building of the Science Park of the University of Salamanca served as the venue for the technology breakfast: “The Value of Innovation in Business”, organized by the Air Institute in collaboration with the Institute for Business Competitiveness (ICE).
The event was hosted by José Francisco de Diego, territorial director of ICE in Salamanca and Juan Manuel Corchado Rodríguez, president of the AIR Institute. During the event, the Centr@tec Program was introduced; a training and support initiative for business R&D&I that is part of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Network of Castilla y León redeis.es.
The participation of the Air Institute in the Centr@tec program will be oriented towards the following areas of action:
- Internationalization of R&D&I.
- Awareness, demonstration and training
- Diagnostics and implementations
- Innovative Project Bank
- Digital Transformation Support Unit

For his part, José Francisco de Diego described the opportunities offered to the business network of Castilla y León. He also presented the services in the field of Industry 4.0, digitalization, innovation in processes and product design and explained the lines of assistance currently offered by the ICE.

Attendees learned first-hand about the experience of Pedro Laso, CEO of the company Biocompostajes Laso, who participated in last year’s Centr@tec program.

It has been a fruitful and helpful event for companies, and we hope to continue carrying out this type of activities to promote business digitalization in Castilla y León.
