Workshop on scientific research and open data in the framework of the IoTalentum project

Juan Manuel Corchado, director of the BISITE Research Group at the University of Salamanca, gave a “Workshop on Open Science”, which was held online from 19 to 20 April 2022 as part of the IoTalentum project.

The course focused on introducing the Open Access and Open Science publishing model to early-stage researchers (PhD students) participating in the project, including a list of Open Access repositories, harvesters and search engines. The second part of the course was devoted to understanding how to publish in Open Access and create research profile identifications.

Corchado has an important curriculum of scientific publications in high impact journals and books. Therefore, he wanted to take this opportunity to transmit his experience to doctoral students, so that they have the knowledge and tools needed to successfully carry out their work as researchers.
