Juan Manuel Corchado, professor of Computer Science and Automation at the University of Salamanca, will co-chair the 2nd “International Conference on Smart City and Green Energy” (ICSCGE 2022), along with Tiong Sieh Kiong, professor at the Universiti Tenaga Nasional of Malaysia. The event, which will be held from November 19-21 in Hong Kong, was organized virtually last year, however, we hope that this time it can be held in a hybrid format.

ICSCGE 2022 is co-sponsored by BINMT, Zhejiang University and the University of Hong Kong and aims to promote knowledge exchange between scientists and engineers in the field of smart cities and sustainability.

In our cities, technological projects for the promotion of the sustainable development of infrastructures, neighborhoods and green spaces are becoming increasingly important. This is a huge challenge that is transforming many cities. Specifically, in Salamanca, we have projects such as Tormes+ and Vía de la Plata that are turning our city into a benchmark.

Participation in forums such as this one makes it possible to learn about the experiences and good practices that we can apply here. It also allows us to disseminate the achievements of our other projects, related to decarbonization, sustainability, and smart cities and territories.

ICSCGE 2022 will focus on topics that intersect in the development of smart cities, including artificial intelligence, IoT, blockchain, data analytics, cybersecurity, sustainable resilient buildings, infrastructure, environment, transport and mobility. We invite you to submit papers which present original research on smart cities, green energy and related technologies.
