Expo 2020 Dubai ended yesterday. It was a World Expo that started on October 1, 2021 and lasted 182 days, offering its attendees fantastic experiences and opportunities to learn about the latest technological advances.
Juan Manuel Corchado, professor at the University of Salamanca and director of the AIR Institute and the BISITE Research Group, attended the Dubai Expo last February to present some of the research projects that we are carrying out at our laboratories. We specialize in the development of intelligent models in areas such as smart cities, connected industry, biotechnology, neuroscience, Fintech, Blockchain or IoT. Some of these projects are being carried out thanks to collaboration with institutions in the Middle East and with Spanish entities that have delegations in these countries.

Spain’s participation in Expo Dubai was aimed at positioning it as a role model for entrepreneurs and start-ups worldwide, as well as fostering collaboration between countries and interchanging initiatives.
No doubt, such events represent an excellent opportunity to meet, learn and cultivate innovative ideas that are being developed both in Dubai and in the rest of the world.
Here is a video summary of our visit to the expo and all its highlights.
