Juan M. Corchado, President of the AIR Institute and Director of the BISITE Research Group of the University of Salamanca presents DeepNGS, a medical research and biotechnology project, to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Spanish Government, Nadia Calviño

During the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister Nadia Calviño to USAL’s Science Park this morning, we presented DeepNGS; a platform that uses Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to automate the workflow of gene analysis and help in diagnostic procedures.

Solutions such as DeepNGS Next Generation Sequencing, developed by DCSc in collaboration with AIR Institue, BISITE Group and the IoT Digital Innovation Hub (DIGIS3 Partner), allow for the analysis of genomic data, quickly and with explicit and complete information; also incorporating the latest advances in Biomedicine, which can be adapted to the needs of each type of study.

DeepNGS is an excellent alternative for the optimization of diagnostics and it makes it possible to achieve a higher level of accuracy by incorporating all the genetic data of the patient in a secure, agile and easy to use platform. It digests information to ensure the accuracy of results and the adequacy of treatment recommendations.

Our commitment to medical research is paramount, especially because of the current health situation in the world. Our project will provide more precise and agile solutions to the processing of different diseases.
