Building efficient smart cities

I had the opportunity to deliver the keynote address at the “International Conference on Smart City and Green Energy” organized in Da Nang, China.

My address was about “Building efficient smart cities” a growing number of cities want to get to the smart city league and the number of resources that are being invested in them is enormous. In my presentation we have reviewed the different verticals, determined the ones that are the most attractive to citizens and analyzed the steps towards a sustainable, efficient and tangible transformation without causing disturbances in the society.

We have presented the proposals and projects we are developing in Sofia, Istanbul, Barcelona, Doha, Caldas, Manizales, Panama, and others.  We also showed how the use of a tool such as deepint.net is helping us to create efficient and fast solutions.

Cybersecurity is an important factor at present. For this reason, we are working on several projects in this area and facilitating training for society in general and smart city managers in particular with the C1b3rWall Academy initiative in conjunction with the National Police.

In this regard, together with a large group of cybersecurity experts, we have promoted a totally free training platform offering that has already been accessed by more than 50,000 students for the courses that are currently underway. This training can also be accessed via e4you.org.
