AIoT to achieve Sustainable Development Goals

I have had the opportunity gave the inaugural lecture at the 4th International Conference on Recent Trends in Advanced Computing (ICRTAC-2021), organized by theVellore Institute of Technology and sponsored by National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan.

Computer vision and artificial intelligence techniques are playing a key role in achieving the sustainable development goals defined by the United Nations. They are becoming an essential part of current trends such as the internet of things, brain-human interfaces, etc. Today, big data are readily available and increasing in size exponentially.

Recently we have all witnessed the debates at the Climate Summit in Glasgow and how important it is for all of us to do something about it.

With this Keynote I have tried to show how a sustainable and efficient use of IoT in collaboration with AI and blockchain can facilitate reaching the goals defined in this summit even faster.
