I had the opportunity to participate in the panel “Digital Learning: New Modalities of Education”, an event organized by the Salvadoran Association of Industrialists or Asociación Salvadoreña de Industriales (ASI) in which I commented on the advances in training models. We already use models in BISITE that incorporate the use of video platforms, collaborative work, news and evaluation.

I also presented our training offer, and the model of knowledge transfer used in our research group. The future of education is shaping up towards digitalization and online training, with platforms such as e4you.org on which we collaborate, and which has allowed us to create great projects such as the C1b3rWall Academy course that we are running together with the National Police. An initiative that has already attracted more than 30,000 students and we estimate will have up to half a million students throughout the program.

Online training

During the debate, the panel evaluated the problems faced by distance education and training and the existence of models, techniques and tools that can facilitate training processes that meet the standards of the 21st century.

Open, asynchronous education taught by professionals, including videos and well-selected documents through systems that facilitate collaboration among students and with teachers, is here to stay, and is already one more element of the continuous training that students and professionals need.

e4you.org make this possible at the touch of a button; these agile platforms also facilitate academic accreditation processes.

It has been a pleasure to participate in this panel which has been organized within the framework of the ASI Innovation Week,  to compare the evolution of online training between America and Europe.
