Last week we had the opportunity to welcome the students and professors that are part of the first MSc course on Smart Maritime & Surveying Systems, from The Surveying & MARiTime internet of things EducAtion (SMARTSEA) project.
During the first term, the students will delve into the analysis of marine control systems (motion control, positioning, manoeuvring, machinery systems and propulsion systems) of ships, underwater vehicles and floating marine structures. In National Instruments LabVIEW graphical programming language for data acquisition and control. They will also learn about data acquisition circuits and systems, Artificial Intelligence and IoT platforms and systems.
SMARTSEA aims to develop an advanced interactive and certified master’s degree course dealing with maritime and surveying IoT applications that will equip individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to work in the growing Smart Maritime & Surveying industry.
