Internet of Things in Intelligent Buildings

Today I had the opportunity to participate in the first Forum ‘Intelligent Buildings in Municipalities and Councils’, organized by the Junta de Castilla y León in the framework of the project “Smart Digital Rural Community”, within the Cross Border Cooperation Program Interreg V-A Spain-Portugal.

The event took place online and I was able to share my vision on smart buildings in a talk entitled “Smart Buildings: an opportunity for infrastructure, communication and quality of life”. Experts from different fields participated in the event, discussing sustainability, technology, intelligent systems, virtual reality as well as monitoring and prediction in the management of smart buildings. The meeting was an opportunity to exchange views on the potential of the Internet of Things (IoT) for the management of municipal buildings, facilities and installations.

During the talk I showcased the importance of constructing buildings with intelligence, beyond the fact that they are smart. Also, tools that improve the management of facilities through the application of AI algorithms, as is the case of Deep Intelligence, helps us to transform data and analyse them, in order to make the best decisions.

Here is a video in which you can see part of my participation in the event.
