The opportunities offered by smart cities are infinite, at the level of infrastructure, communication, mobility and above all a better quality of life for their inhabitants. In a lecture I gave a few days ago at the University of Engineering & Management, entitled “Smart cities a new opportunity”, I shared my vision of smart cities and the technologies behind them.

An interconnected city is able to offer a better response to adverse situations, such as the one we are going through worldwide, and to anticipate social problems. The Internet of Things combined with Artificial Intelligence not only makes it possible to collect data, but also guarantees better processing and information analysis.

If we rely on tools that help us transform all of the collected data, we will be able to make better decisions. Our Deep Intelligence platform can be customized to read any type of data from websites, files, databases, sensors and transmit it in real time. It is an excellent option for the management of hyper-connected cities and the platform is already operating in Doha (Qatar), Barcelona, Istanbul, Colombia, Panama and others, producing very good results.

Here is a short video clip of the lecture.
