Innovation, sustainability and security at the Doha Smart Cities Summit

The “Doha Smart Cities Summit” organised by Msheireb Properties on 24 November was a success. The conference, in which I had the opportunity to participate, brought together experts, practitioners and the general public to discuss among other things the role of Doha as a Smart City and its strategy during and after the Covid-19.

At the summit we were able to see the work of leading developers, pioneers in technologies that will empower cities and their inhabitants. In addition, there were discussion panels, the first of which addressed cybersecurity in smart cities and the importance of implementing digital systems services. The second panel focused on mobility, autonomous vehicles and the presentation of a new transport business model.

This was followed by innovative and sustainable ideas and solutions, ranging from lifestyle change to climate change. Msheireb Properties also presented a model of autonomous vehicles that will provide services at Msheireb Downtown.

We presented two major solutions that we have developed at the BISITE group: AIR Core, a tool that transforms data into valuable information and helps companies make the best decisions, and Deep SIEM – Deep Security Information and Event Management, a platform that collects an organisation’s records and analyses them in real time in search of threats.

One of Qatar’s objectives for 2030 is to achieve sustainable evelopment and conferences such as this one help to strengthen its position on a global scale, as well as showcase its progress, level of innovation and projects within the framework of urban development. Our solutions can improve the efficiency of companies, organizations and facilitate management in connected cities.
