The Smart Grid as a key element of a Smart City

Powerful simulation systems and equipment are of great importance for improving performance and obtaining good results. In the last year we have worked with research groups from Clemson University (USA) and the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (Portugal) on energy optimisation projects that have given us an in-depth understanding of the state of the art, the challenges and the most interesting simulation platforms.

A good Smart City must have a good system for the management of its smart grids, these make the supply of electricity more efficient, preventing breakdowns or fixing them more quickly. They also optimise energy consumption, which is one of the key objectives of smart cities.

Constant research is essential to achieve these objectives and we have joined forces with important institutions that are carrying out important studies on the scope, improvement and use of smart grids.
