The importance of digital transformation has increased over the last months. Many businesses are now assured of the effectiveness of the different technologies they have implemented, while many others have not yet set out on this process, and they are just beginning to draw up strategies for initiating the transformation.

Working on the optimization of processes is fundamental; we have been able to see for ourselves that automation, robotization and data are extremely valuable when increasing and improving productivity. Against the common belief that robots will decrease the numbers of job posts, they will in fact create new profiles oriented towards technological competencies.

According to the report of Adecco Group Institute, 14% of world’s work force will have  to transform their capacities by 2030. This means that companies must not only incorporate certain technologies in their processes, but staff training will also be necessary. The digital transformation is a combination of new technologies, business culture and human capital skills, all of which must go hand in hand for it to really work.

Ongoing training is essential, which is why the BISITE Group, at the University of Salamanca, offers the Master’s Degree in Digital Transformation. It is targeted at professionals from different specialities who wish to acquire the skills that will help them approach transformation in their respective fields.
