Luis Raúl Rodríguez began his research stay at our group a few days ago. He will collaborate with us on different projects related to Explainable Artificial Intelligence.
Luis, who comes from Costa Rica, is a Computer Science and Information Technology Engineer. He has a postgraduate degree in systems engineering, with a major in telecommunication systems. Luis Raúl is also a litigator, specializing in computer crimes, criminal and family law.
He has experience as professor at the University of Costa Rica (UCR) and the National Technical University (UTN), as well as PhD researcher investigating Artificial Intelligence in Information Technology. This makes him an ideal partner in projects involving AI and legal issues.
He is currently working on using semantic networks for knowledge representation, an application that will aid judges in the interpretation and evaluation of the facts and evidence available for a legal case and thus, will facilitate decision-making.
Luis is a good addition to our group and we are sure that he will contribute greatly to the progress of our research.
Welcome Luis Raúl!
