Last week, the first MAPI FEDS event took place.  The Santo Domingo Educational Foundation has invited me to present a conference on Artificial Intelligence and its impacts on the area of education.

Over the course of the conference, we have learned about the evolution of AI and about how it is changing our history, making our life easier and more secure, etc. We also found out about different approaches to teaching and saw how Artificial Intelligence is facilitating the creation of intelligent educational systems, such as AI tutors. In addition, we have analysed the aspects of Explainable AI and Fair AI. We have also seen how AIR Core can be used to create intelligent systems quickly and efficiently, and how this technology can help teach people to use AI.

During the conference, some highly innovative projects have been presented, which have been carried out by the teachers at the schools of the Santo Domingo Educational Foundation. Nowadays, it is very important that young people learn by innovating and that they may do it through new technologies, in well-equipped labs and with the support of well-prepared teachers.

Discovery learning is the key to fostering an innovative and inquisitive spirit in the classrooms. The Santo Domingo Foundation are determined to achieve this and they know how to go about it. Congratulations for your hard work, you’re on the right track!!
