SMART LAMP: portable device for the diagnosis of NTD diseases

One of the objectives of our research group is to help solve social problems by making good use of new technologies.

For this reason, we are working with the Institute of Biomedicine of Salamanca (IBSAL) on Smart Lamp; a portable and automated device which analyses biological samples for the diagnosis of NTDs (Neglected Tropical Diseases).

This device also allows to identify samples, process, store and send geolocated signals which can then be viewed on the interface of an application capable of analysing the information according to geographical, local or personal constants.

Smart Lamp is a major contribution to healthcare in areas that are difficult to access. We look forward to collaborating in other, equally interesting projects.
