I recently had the opportunity to work with Dr. Karamjit S Gill from AI and Society, at the University of Cambridge. Dr. Karamjit is Emeritus Professor at the University of Brighton, and is also a member of the Interdisciplinary Performance Research Network.
He is a great thinker who has used Artificial Intelligence techniques to put into practice some of the theories of social problem solving. It is essential to analyse the ability of AI to solve social problems before actually developing and implementing technological AI solutions. Karamjit is an inspiration to all of us.
His insights and his many projects have inspired us to create problem solving models from a much more humanistic perspective. To meet him in person and learn about his work has been an extraordinarily rewarding experience.
I am sure that we will continue to develop models and that their quality, efficiency and usability will increase significantly.
