Ireland – An innovative form of financing research

I would like to congratulate my colleagues at Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) for the extraordinary programme they have set in motion, called Artificial Intelligence for Societal Good Challenge.

It has been an extraordinary experience to collaborate with SFI on this project, I’ve learned about the work that is being accomplished in Ireland and have witnessed the progress made by some of the country’s most outstanding research groups.

SFI is doing a great job, with very well thought out and innovative calls that promote both basic and applied research.
