Qatar is now in the process of developing a number of smart cities. The two most popular are the cities of Lusail and Doha, whose very centre is the Souq Waqif. These structures facilitate the implementation and evaluation of the technologies developed in companies and laboratories around the world.


Several Free Zones have been set up in Qatar, to attract companies from abroad by offering many advantages, such as release from customs rules, regulations and tax. This gives technology companies the opportunity to evaluate their products and commercialize them.

At an interesting forum on Digital Government we have been able to learn about the many business opportunities offered by Qatar and the things that are being done in this country.
