Blockchain and its Applications in Edge Computing, Industry 4.0, IOT and Smart Cities.

Keynote for ICACCCI and ISTA 2018

It will be a pleasure to be one of the speakers at the 7th International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications and Informatics (ICACCI 2018) and the Fourth International Symposium on Intelligent Systems Technologies and Applications (ISTA ‘ 18), where issues related to informatics and technological advances will be addressed.

The keynote will be held at the PES Institute of Technology, South Campus, Bangalore, Karnataka, India from the 19th to the 22nd  of September. There, I will share some notions about Blockchain, Industry 4.0 and Smart cities.

I will talk about how these technologies converge with each other. For example, Blockchain is ideal for protecting data by making it unalterable and indestructible. As a result, it is essential for the correct functioning of other technologies such as Edge Computing, Industry 4.0, IOT and the Smart City paradigm.

The risks involved in connecting a machine to the Internet are evident, however Blockchain can help reduce those risks or even eliminate them. The industry is updating its processes to be more efficient.

This and other topics we will be discussed with researchers, students and developers; I’m sure it will be a fruitful week from which we will get new ideas for our projects.

I will keep you updated over the next days on our activities at the Congress.
