Technological development has taken us beyond the simple connection between people and is evolving towards a connection between all kinds of objects. Thanks to sensors and other types of mechanisms, it is possible for objects to interconnect and interact with each other.

The Internet of Things makes the transformation of our environment evident. Getting everyday objects to send information to the cloud and to work independently optimizes the daily life of all citizens. It allows to provide better care to dependent people and to ease a myriad of other major and minor daily tasks.

The BISITE Group is aware of the possibilities and the big future of IoT, for this reason we are working actively on this far-reaching line of research, form the implementation of wireless sensor networks to data fusion.

Our group has used the technology that IoT provides in multiple projects, such as the AESCOLAPIUS wheelchair; the Hawk Multicopter project; HomeCare and many more things that you can learn about here.
