President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron visited the Sorbonne University on the 26th of September, where he presented his vision of the European project and proposed a series of ideas for the European Union.
He shares his reflections and ideas for the future of Europe, presenting 77 proposals and gives real examples of what could be implemented in the EU by 2024. He has some really good ideas but I won’t discuss them in detail. I simply want to point out this President’s commitment to making Europe a leader in technology and to making use of technology to improve people’s lives.
The President said, “I want Europe to take a leading role in this revolution through radical innovation”, this sentence demonstrates the importance of Artificial Intelligence. This area will receive a lot of attention in the next Horizon Europe programme and billions of euros will be invested in it.
