King Felipe VI and the President of Portugal visit the fourth edition of Startup Olé

Every year Startup Olé attracts thousands of participants from different countries. This time there have been more than 10,000 attendees at the event. In addition, some 500 startups, 70 accelerators and 20 universities, have participated.

This three-day event places Salamanca in the centre of the entrepreneurial world. Since Tuesday participants have been able to directly communicate with companies and investors, this is what makes it one of the most important meetings of its kind in the world. This morning, the King of Spain, Felipe VI, and the President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo, visited the city to highlight the importance of this type of initiatives in today’s world.

I would like to congratulate the Organising Team of this Startup Olé, for their effort and their commitment to promoting innovation and development. They have contributed to the brilliance of Salamanca in this field, placing it at the very top.
