Moviurban, a project for the sustainable management of Smart cities

Investments in environmental stewardship have grown substantially since the Paris agreements of 2015. The Regional Government of Castile and Leon has chosen to invest in projects that improve the energy efficiency of our cities.

The BISITE group is following this line of research and for this reason we are working on the MOVIURBAN project (Social machine for the sustainable management of intelligent cities: urban mobility, open data, mobile sensors). Thanks to this project we can improve the efficiency of vehicles, of electric and conventional bicycles for example, and optimize urban transport. To optimize the mobility of users in the city, we will create an open data platform that enables users to identify crowds, traffic jams and traffic accidents, as well as other problems.  This ambitious project encompasses sectors that are directly related to creating intelligent spaces, such as energy, IT, communications, transport, etc. These developments aim to ease the lives of our fellow citizens.

The project is financed by the Junta of Castile and Leon and is currently under development.
