The Iberdrola Chair will research the distribution of renewable energy

The distribution of renewable energy will depend on the availability of resources in each area.

Susana Lagüela López is the researcher and director of the Eighth Centenary Iberdrola Chair, who will direct during the next two (possibly four years), the development of an integral tool that will manage energetic production and demand, according to availability in the area.

As Lagüela asserted at the presentation, although in the rest of Europe this is not a novelty, in Spain it certainly is and it provides young researchers with the possibility of conducting a work with certain stability. In addition, there will be two researchers working together in the next two years. If the commission assesses the project positively, the project will be extended for another two years.

At the presentation of the Eight Centenary Iberdrola Chair, the rector of the University of Salamanca was also present, Daniel Hernández; as well as Iberdrola’s director for Innovation and Sustainability, Agustín Delgado; the vice rector for the Commemoration of the VIII Centenary, Mariano Esteban and the professor with chair of Cartographic Engineering, Geodesy and Photogrammetry of USAL, Diego González-Aguilera.
