The Universities of Burgos, Leon and Valladolid are in eighth place according to the survey drawn up by the BBVA Foundation.

The University of Salamanca is the best in Castile and Leon according to the study conducted by the BBVA Foundation (Fundación BBVA) and the Valencian Institute of Economic Research (Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Económicas  -IVIE). Thus, the Salamanca Studium is in seventh place of the region ahead of the universities of Leon, Burgos and Valladolid and the private Miguel de Cervantes university.

Despite the result, the USAL has a lower ranking than last year, but it has gained ground in research and innovation. In research, it went from 9th to 8th place, although this field is the only one in which it does not top the list of Castile and Leon, since Leon has managed to move from 10th place to 6th.

The U-Ranking reveals the performance of universities in a synthetic way from 25 indicators, including scientific articles, the quality of publications, doctoral theses, employability and internationalization.
