Strategies for the oral defense of academic works

Speaking in a convincing way is something we should all know how to do, when defending our academic work or in any other situation in our life that requires this ability. However, on many occasions and for different reasons we fail to do so.

The Fonseca Guesthouse held the opening of the workshop “Presentation Strategies and the oral defense of academic Works”, a training activity aimed at PhD students; it will provide them with the necessary abilities to face this type of situations with success, such as the defense of their thesis. Practical workshops and round tables were led by Francisco Ramos with endowed professorship in the University of Salamanca, in the Department of Personality, Assessment and Psychological Treatment. Participants included Emma Rodero, professor of Audiovisual Communication, Publicity in the Pompeu Fabra University and Diego Marqueta, industrial consultant who was in charge of the second session.
