Four journals published by Salamanca University Press enter the prestigious ESCI / WoS database

Studia Historica Ancient History, Studia Historica Medieval History, Studia Historica Modern History, and Theory of Education Revista interuniversitaria are all indexed journals.

The journals Studia Historica. Historia Antigua, directed by Manuel Salinas de Frías, Studia Historica. Historia Medieval, directed by Gregorio del Ser, Studia Historica.Historia Moderna, directed by José Luis de las Heras and Theory of Education. Revista interuniversitaria, directed by Ángel García del Dujo, have been evaluated and accepted for indexing in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), the new edition of the “Web of Science.”

The Vice-Chancellor for Research, Juan Manuel Corchado, and the editor of the Salamanca University Press, Eduardo Azofra, launched a project to improve the visibility and impact of the scientific publications of Salamanca University Press last September 2016. One of the initiatives has been to advance in the bibliometric studies that help the publisher and the journals to reflect on their positioning, their achievements, as well as their weaknesses, and to create guidelines to better showcase the quality and the solidity of the content they provide.
