Inés Sittón joins the BISITE research group of the University of Salamanca, with the support of the government of Panama through the IFHARU-SENACYT program.
Inés Sittón is a Computer Systems Engineer with a Master’s Degree in Technologies and Information Systems, currently she is a doctoral student in Computer Engineering at the Computer and Automation Department of the University of Salamanca (USAL) at the BISITE research group, and with the support of the government of Panama through the IFHARU-SENACYT program. At Bisite, she develops her research oriented to the paradigm of Industry 4.0 and of the digital transformations that now appear in the organizations by the accelerated proliferation of the Internet of Things (IoT) and the challenges related to the management of the large amounts of data; How to process them, store them and turn them into valuable information that allows effective and efficient decision making. Within the ecosystem Industry 4.0, her thesis addresses the problem of modeling and integration of data generated by IoT sensors in an industrial environment, aiming the extraction of patterns, using data fusion techniques that allow the design of a maintenance predictive model.
