The Faculty of Philosophy holds a congress on the figure of the philosopher.

The University of Salamanca at the IV International Meeting of the History of Thought in relation to Francisco Suárez (1548-1617),  he was a great example of an inquisitive and hardworking academic, who put his career at the service of knowledge and common project, delivering the best of his works. His undefeatable spirit and his eagerness to continue learning made him travel; visiting other universities and countries, a learning cycle that is not so different to that of the current professors and researchers. He created a holistic outlook, which seeks to connect knowledge from an integral perspective; combining different disciplines. He was capable of doing all of this during a period of decline in the scholasticism of the Renaissance phase.
