Three new projects for Salamanca with the help of the Areces Foundation

The Ramon Areces Foundation held the event of Aid Delivery for Research in Life Sciences and the subject that corresponds to its XVIII edition.

A total of 274 Spanish researchers, including three that come form the University of Salamanca, will work on projects for the next three years in centers of excellence. This is magnificent news is a success for our University and IBSAL. This will give them the possibility to research unusual diseases, cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, obesity, diabetes, renewable energies and new materials such as graphene, as well as other fields.

The event was chaired by the Trustee President of the Foundation, Florencio Lasaga and Carmen Vela, Secretary of the Status of Research, Development and Innovation and of Federico Mayor Zaragoza president of the Scientific Board of the Ramon Areces Foundation. My congratulations to the three researchers who in the name of the University of Salamanca and IBSAL will be able to go ahead with their projects, thanks to the Areces Foundation; María Ángeles Almeida deputy director of IBSAL; Enrique Ocio researcher of IBSAL; Eva Martín del Valle Endowed Chair in Chemical Engineering.
