Salamanca´s Rotary Club has invited me to give a talk on entrepreneurship. The event took place in the Conference Hall of the old Architecture School of Salamanca.

“Undertake in Salamanca” (Emprender en Salamanca) is the title of the talk I gave las night in the Rotary Club, in an exceptional setting such as that of the Architecture School of Salamanca. I give my biggest thanks to both. In the University, we have a clear idea of advancing together in the business sector and institutions; together entities are able to create new business environments. The transfer of knowledge is basic at the time of creating synergies and putting in practice what we have learned in the classrooms. A clear example of this is the Scientific Park of the University of Salamanca, which, during the ten years of its existence has converted itself into an open ecosystem of innovation, strengthening interaction between the University environment and the industry. In this way, we supply employment and increase our research potential.

We like to show off with the fact that the University of Salamanca is among the twenty Universities that most invest in and support entrepreneurship, according to the Educa 2020 project of Axa Foundation. However, this is not enough for us and our aim is to improve our ranking. This is why we invest in entrepreneurial projects in which University members are directly involved. We want to create employment, educating students to the profiles demanded by businesses and the University has the tools needed for this.

It is only a question of time.
