New equipment for the analysis of genetic variability.

The system will be applied in both biomedical research and genetic diagnosis.

The University of Salamanca has presented a new, high capacity system for the analysis of single cell, incorporated in the DNA Sequencing Service(Servicio de Secuenciación de ADN), within the (NUCLEUS) Research Support Service in the University.

The platform has been acquired within the frame of the call; the granting of aids for the purchase of scientific/technical equipment from the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness(MINECO)/FEDER Funds.

At the presentation I was accompanied by Julia Almeida, the person in charge of the Nucleus Research Support, Alberto Orfao, person in charge of Bimolecular Characterization, Imaging and Bioinformatics, and María Jara, person in charge of the technical system.
