The Biomedical Research Institute of Salamanca (IBSAL), will coordinate a research Project that will draw the European hematological tumor map, using Big Data. A professor from Salamanca, Jesús María Rivas, will lead this project together with Guillermo Sanz Santillana from the La Fe Hospital in Valencia. The program, which will last five years and is provisioned with 40 million euros, will have as its aim the finding of the most effective treatments for hematological tumors, in both children and adults. Additionally, this project is a pioneer in the use of Big Data in the field of health. It will help make a data analysis that will allow for the development of innovative and effective therapies for this type of tumors.
