The University of Salamanca will be a guest of honor at the Mexico University Book Fair

The invitation is part of the commemorative events of the University´s VIII Centenary.

The University of Salamanca will be a guest of honor at the first International University Book Fair (FILUNI), organized by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). It will be held from 22nd to 27th of August 2017, at the Exhibition and Congress Centre UNAM, USAL campus.

Our University has been invited as part of the commemorative events of the VIII Centenary. As the rector of UNAM, Enrique Graue Wiechers said, “who better to open this fair than the University of Salamanca being the oldest Spanish-speaking University and the fourth oldest on the European continent. Moreover, it celebrates the 486 years of the first ever edition of “Castilian Grammar” of Nebrija.

It will be an honor for our University to participate in this fair, as we aim to become a paradigm in the university publishing sector. And will do so by presenting two exhibitions: one on gender violence based on the book “A Kiss in the Forehead“, and the second on the 25 editions of Queen Sofia Ibero-American Poetry Prize.
